“Percy!” she gasped, tightening her grip on him. “What are you doing?”
“I can tell that your shoes are making your feet hurt,” he shrugged. “I can carry you so why wouldn’t I?” Annabeth felt her skin heat up, and she leaned in to kiss his cheek, leaving behind a slight stain of her lip gloss. She didn’t think he’d mind.

Annabeth deserves Princess treatment and Percy is going to give it to her.

“Don’t tempt me.” The mischievous grin was back in his voice, and that unknown tightness gripped around Steve’s lungs again for just a moment. He sighed heavily and shook his head, hoping to rattle his thoughts into some kind of coherency, glasses slipping slightly down the bridge of his nose.
“Great, so I’ll see you later. Thanks again, Munson.”
“My pleasure, friend o’ mine. I’m gonna babysit the shit out of these kids.”
With Eddie’s final words not exactly breathing confidence into him, Steve hung up the phone and threw it back on the desk. Mostly, he was just grateful that he had someone to look after his girls tonight. It was only slightly nerve-wracking that that someone was Eddie.
OR
Single Girl-Dad Steve needs someone to babysit his kids while he goes to a lecture out of town. Unable to secure his regular options, he has to resort to Eddie Munson.
