Summary
After the very messy and very public mental breakdown of Clancy, one of the biggest pop stars in the world, Josh Dun is hired as his new head of security. Josh assumes it'll be just like any other job -- that is, until he comes face to face with Clancy for the first time. He soon finds out there's more to the pop star than what they print in the tabloids, and Josh is the only one who can bring it to the surface.
Clancy is a household name, known by people around the world. Tyler isn't, but he's the one left trying to pick up the pieces after scandal threatens the career he's destroyed his entire life to achieve. Between his record label trying to control his every action and dwindling public opinion, he's losing his grasp on reality very quickly.
Two personalities clash as Tyler tries to rehabilitate his public image and simultaneously write a second album the record label will approve of, while Josh tries to protect Tyler not only from the rest of the world, but also himself. With meddling paparazzi and a controlling record label watching their every move, will they rise above or will they choke on the circumstance?

Summary

"...what?" Arthur asked blearily as the boy set down his food. Merlin didn't even pause as he went to the dresser and tossed some more clothes out of the cabinet. "You... You have an apprentice?" He repeated and squinted. "Why?"
"Oh, you know," Merlin shrugged, tossing a tunic on the bed "In case I die or something." He said. The boy blinked before glancing over at Merlin with pursed lips.
"You're not dying, are you?" He asked and Arthur had to shake his head to try and keep up with the conversation.
"I don't think so... But you can never be certain." Merlin told him with an air of stoicism. Arthur scowled. Honestly. This was ridiculous. Clearly, this was his servant's newest attempt to get out of work (or at least work less).
"Merlin, you're not getting an apprentice." Arthur told him. Merlin stopped to look at the king.
"I am. I have. He's right there. Say hi, Daegal."
"Hi!"
Or
Daegal lives. Merlin takes him on as an apprentice. Arthur isn't sure what's going on. Mordred is also mad for some reason.

“I’m an activist, Mr. Morgan,” Merlin explains.
“I see that,” Knight Gwaine says.
“I want this place to exist here forever. Forever and ever and ever.”
“You mean until King Arthur climbs out of it?”
“Yes,” Merlin says. “But after that, too, since I’m not like, 100% positive that he’s going to know what a fish ladder is. I figure we’ve got to do some work on that and probably his English before we let him go off into the wild.”
“Right. Obviously, the English. But what happens if someone tries to put another body in the lake while you’re here?”
Merlin doesn’t have an answer to that.
(Three women's bodies are dumped into a lake, and detective Gwaine Morgan is assigned the case. He does not anticipate said lake to be guarded by a local 12 year-old and is even less prepared for what happens when the 12 year-old becomes his murderer's next target.)

"I can have him dead by tonight," He said, “If you don’t mind the Van Eck household getting involved.”
Inej stared at him.
“That's it? You’ll help?” She asked dubiously.
Kaz frowned.
“Would I have bothered to listen if I wasn’t going to?”
"No 'what's in it for me'? What happened to never something for nothing?”
"Well, it’s lucky for you that there's already something in it for me, isn’t it?"---
Inej needs a powerful man dead. Kaz, busy conducting 'renovations' across the West Stave and feuding with famous stage actors, is glad to have the opportunity to eliminate a threat.

“Kaz has an ex?” Jesper asked, sidetracked by this very new information. He turned to Kaz. “You have an ex?” he asked incredulously. Kaz looked between them all - expression unreadable.
“No.”
What was happening? Inej and Wylan both turned to stare at Kaz as if he was lying. Which, well, maybe. Also, Jesper was a little offended.
“Why do they know you have an ex and I didn’t?” he asked, a little petulantly. Kaz kicked him under the table.
“I don’t.”
“Inej?” Jesper asked. She scoffed.
“We’re talking about you, Jesper. Well, you and Kaz,” she said with a wave of her hand. “I don’t think it’s strange you two still spend time together. Though, to Wylan’s point, I can see why it’s a little strange for him given you don’t do this with anyone else you’ve dated as far as I know-”
Or
Inej and Wylan might have maybe, sort of, kind of thought their boyfriends were exes, and debate if it’s weird that they still hang out. Jesper and Kaz are understandably confused.
