“Denim,” Minghao says matter-of-factly. Obviously. Mingyu is wearing jeans too, what's the difference? Mingyu's smile grows.

Mingyu stifles another laugh.

Summary
Marriages were always a political gesture. You, marry your daughter to my son, and then our diplomatic bond will be public and non-reversible. It was a statement more than anything. A show of trust. Insurance against a falling out. Jaemin did not want that. Jaemin did not want to marry a princess. He wanted to marry someone of his own choice.
Why did the princes in fairy tales always get to marry their true loves, but the princes in real life did not?
