Admittedly, Takumi found this book to be a lullaby, but not a pleasant one. No wonder Eito dropped it initially—Takumi was bored out of his mind and non-stop running mouth. Even though he read the words, none of them really stuck with him. Not until a certain paragraph.
“I wonder what you're imagining, Takumi-kun. I don't doubt it's utterly lewd and mortifying. Well… You’re reading erotica. I guess it's inevitable.”
“That'd mean you are too!”

Takumi's earlier annoyance had faded, and in the lull, his guard lowered. It was easy to watch as Eito worked quietly. He was clearly very experienced with the motions of cleaning, which lined up with what he remembered of the first Eito. Guess that wasn’t a lie. He cleaned with well-practiced efficiency. At times, a small frown graced his features as he fought a particularly stubborn spot, which did nothing to detract from his attractiveness. He looked at the book and then back again.
…Eito would probably look pretty good in a maid outfit, actually. He was without a doubt (objectively speaking) pretty enough for it. Add in his pale skin, thin frame, and height, and, well, it was practically meant to be, really. Objectively speaking.

Something went wrong, on what was supposed to be the day that would bring peace to Futurum once and for all. For whatever reason, Takumi decided that it was Eito's responsibility to fix it.
The problem is that first, he has to survive 100 days at Last Defense Academy. And save everyone else while he's at it.
Or: It's obvious that this loop is going to be different from the moment that Eito Aotsuki sits up at his desk and takes off his glasses. Now Hiruko just has to hope that his claim that he came back in time to save everyone isn't his usual flavor of pre-betrayal deceptive loyalty.
Well, if it is, it's not like there won't be another loop afterwards. She might as well play along.
