But the private plan that Lottie’s dad had gotten to fly them to Nationals had fucking crashed and now they’re stranded in the middle of the woods, with no rescue insight and she can’t find Shauna.

Summary
“Jackie?” The voice that leaves his lips is unfamiliar and that tugs at her heartstrings so harshly she nearly throws up. She can feel her bottom lip trembling, her eyes subconsciously fitting all over his face, taking in all the differences she finds there. The fact she hasn’t seen them happen makes her want to hurl.
She can’t bring herself to say his name, unsure if that’s even still the one she knows, so instead, she remains quiet, gaping at him in silence.
“Can I get you a drink?” What he doesn’t add is “It looks like you could use one.” Jackie nods slowly, unable to rip her eyes away from him, transfixed by what she’s seeing.
