Broad hands came to cup his face and a palm patted his cheek; dark, serious eyes stared into his own, their effect piercing even from beneath the strong line of his brow and the fringe of his eyelashes. You better be safe, they seemed to say, the very same words that Hardison and Parker too had both murmured into his neck as they’d dragged kisses over it mere minutes ago. There was something about that that made him feel fuzzy. They worry about him and they want him to take care of himself, and he knows that they worry and want because they need him to be okay. And they need him to be okay because they love him.
The thought had sent a shiver down his spine.
