And then—without warning—Reo sucked his middle finger into his mouth.
Just absentmindedly. To wipe off some yogurt he'd spilled. He didn’t even look up. Didn’t notice Nagi’s breath stutter or the way his eyes glazed.
“Nagi?” Reo said.
“Hm.”
“You okay?”
Nagi’s throat was dry.
“Bathroom,” he said, already getting up.

Summary
In the middle of the night, Nagi was stirred awake as he felt the warmth beside him shift. His brows furrowed slightly as he blinked his heavy eyelids open. The room was dim, only faint moonlight seeping through the curtains, but it was enough for him to see what had changed.
Reo wasn’t holding him anymore.
Instead, he was curled up, arms wrapped snugly around—
Bonobono.
Or Ah yes. Nagi. His boyfriend. And his 500$ four foot tall Bonobono.

"Hmph? Reo’s my partner. Of course it’s different," Nagi answered, this time lifting his gaze slightly.
Chigiri’s face immediately lit up with a knowing smirk. "Bingo," his expression practically said.
"Oh yeah? So the only difference between Reo and everyone else is that he’s your partner?" Chigiri pressed. "Then if I became your partner, would you care about me as much as you care about Reo?"
"You can’t be my partner. I already have Reo."
"Hypothetically spea—"
"Only Reo can be my partner," Nagi interrupted, cutting him off.
or Chigiri enjoys messing with Nagi’s mind, making him question things that seem obvious to most—yet impossible for his two friends who struggle with communication. (Typical NagiReo behavior)

Summary
Chigiri sighed, disappointed, yet not surprised. “It's a tradition, Nagi! You kiss whoever you're planning to spend the next year with for good luck!”
That sounded dumb to Seishiro. While the idea was strangely very appealing, something Seishiro had never really considered before, she didn't see how kissing her partner would bring her any good luck. And besides that, there was a bigger issue with Chigiri's statement.
“I don't wanna spend just next year with Reo. I'm going to be with her for my entire life.” Seishiro said petulantly.
Or, Nagi gets told she should kiss her girlfriend for New Year's. Reo is not aware she has said girlfriend.
