Summary
“You know…” Buck starts, leaning forward to place a tentative hand on Eddie’s shoulder. “This doesn’t change a thing between us, Eddie.”
“Why not?” Eddie blurts out before he’s able to stop himself. He wishes he was more flexible so he could shove his foot in his mouth and never talk again.
or
Eddie comes out, sort of, and everything stays the same until it doesn’t.

Summary
Eddie thinks it’s a little ironic that he started to realize that he was gay thanks to a priest and a juice bar. It sounds like the start of a bad joke that ends with him running away after kissing his best friend.
Or: Eddie kisses Buck after their kitchen fight in 8x17 and deals with the fallout of deep-rooted internalized homophobia.

Summary
“Didn’t know you were seeing someone.”
Buck just laughs. Like, honest to god giggles. Eddie is stuck fighting off doubly massive waves of butterflies and confusion, all while Buck just gazes down at him.
“That’s cute,” he hears Buck mumble, just before climbing into the truck, calling Eddie after him.

Summary
Somewhere in the back of Eddie's mind, he starts to wonder who hurt Buck. His primary focus right now, though, is the accuracy of Buck's analogy.
It seems appropriate that Buck, the man Eddie is so desperately in unrequited love with, would explain the feeling in words that Eddie never could.Bookmarked by isuckatthispart
