okay this was something
i think the ending is what cinched it to be a brilliant fic for me,
i was worried that this fic would create a world unknown to the show, well not exactly worried just tense and unclear about the possibility, as i am with every new fandom’s first fic, before i embrace other alternatives to the source material, but im always a bit letdown that they had to change things to be good, and always stay a little hopeful that they’ll find another way to make something you really like from something you really like, like a different perspective, a scenario that is entirely plausible
this was like that, as soon as i started feeling that first-fic discomfort about the changes that are going to happen, the ending came in, and i just,
it was so great and beautiful to see this fic fit in, not exactly like a piece of a puzzle, but something creative and unique within the world i already know, without having to go outside of it but still being originalbit too long and winding i know but we got there in the end, and that’s what matters

i was so interested in seeing how dan could possibly grow soft for jonah, and reading the author really struggling to make him like him was hilarious, i mean giving him a huge dick’s one way to go about things
fun fic, would’ve liked it to have happened gradually i think a slow burn would be better than an overnight thing
