Summary
Jake, Neteyam, and Lo’ak are ambushed while hunting by hostile RDA avatars seeking Neytiri’s location. Jake refuses to betray her despite brutal attacks. When Neteyam calls him “dad,” the RDA shifts their focus to the boy to force Jake’s compliance. Jake and Lo’ak are powerless as Neteyam is hurt, until Jake breaks free in a rage. Together, the brothers kill their captors and escape. Traumatized but alive, Neteyam finally breaks down in Jake’s arms as they flee back to safety.
