Summary
It was getting late, JJ was going to miss bedtime, but she didn't know what to do. She knew she needed to talk to Emily, but she didn't know what she would say. She knows it wasn't Emily's choice to leave, that Hotch and Rossi came to that decision without asking her wife. It still hurts to know that she had been lied to.
JJ stands at her desk, signing the last paper and packing her bag. As she closes the file, she sees Emily and Hotch enter the bullpen, talking quietly to each other. Emily pauses when she notices JJ staring, sending her a sad smile. Hotch places his hand on her back, saying something before walking up to his office.
Emily approaches JJ's desk, and before she can even speak, JJ blurts out, "you have a daughter."
"I-What?" Emily stands frozen a few feet from her, and JJ can't read her at all. Emotions swirl on Emily's face — confusion, sorrow, something resembling joy — blending together faster than JJ can separate them.
"I found out I was pregnant the day before I was told you were dead."

Luke is his favourite, which JJ is pretty sure is only because Luke is Aunty Penelope’s favourite and Michael worships the ground she walks on. So, Michael has Luke and Penelope, Henry has Spence, and JJ has all of them and none of them. Most days it feels like she’s on her own.
