Summary
The job offer came out of nowhere. Centennial Hospital, a level 1 trauma center in Colorado, wanted him to take over for their retiring chief attending. They'd heard the same rumors as everyone about PTMC—how it'd be taken over, transformed, the ED shut down. Didn't Jack want to get ahead of it and find himself a new gig, head of the department, master of his own fate? And the money, of course. Lots and lots of money.
Jack promptly told them to fuck off.

Jack flashed a grin, but didn't let himself get distracted. "Fun message I got today. It seems that someone rode his midlife crisis to work while conspicuously not wearing a helmet."
Underneath his hand, Robby stilled, his heart beating faster than normal. "What?" he asked, but that was a stall, Robby playing for time to decide on his approach. Which was cute, really, but Jack knew all his tricks.
So he just nodded, mocking. "Yeah. See the thing is, when you do shit, I hear about it."

"You don’t have to come," Jack repeated, before grabbing Robby's bag out of his hand and slinging it into the trunk next to his own. "This is new, and they’re a lot, and it’s not even your holiday.”
Or, Jack invites Robby to his mom's for Christmas.

Grey narrows his eyes. “Yes.”
“Together. Like, all of us in the same shop?” Celina looks between the three of them. “I’m sorry, I thought I was signing up to be a cop, not to be in the middle of an emotional minefield.”

Summary
Jack leaned against the tiled wall by a urinal, arms folded, chin lifted in indication, a subtle familiarity in his posture that made Robby shiver.
“What is this?” Robby whispered, heat rising.
“You need to piss. Badly. I can see it, don't lie to me.” Jack's tone was dominant, unyielding, but there was a quiet trust beneath the command.
“Do it. Here. Now.”
Denial bubbled up. “I'm fine, I can wait—”
Jack stepped forward, crowding him. “Bullshit. You've been fighting it all day, haven't you? Every emergency, every code, holding that full bladder while the world falls apart. I know what you need, Robby. Let me help.” His voice dropped, commanding.
“Piss for me.”
-----------
Robby spends an entire shift without going to the bathroom. Jack helps him out.
