Summary
"As much as Middle Earth made him feel like something pickled in a jar, there were times Elrond felt almost too Mannish for Valinor. Like he was an invasive species, or a green and wicked little gremlin, an anxious immigrant, the resident poltergeist of their slice of paradise. But at other times, like when the moon emerged and illuminated Celebrìan in a clichè silver glaze as she stuffed cotton into her ears to block out his snoring — it was like a part of him had always lived on these shores."
-------------------------------------------
Elrond feels out-of-sorts and displaced after his arrival in Valinor. Celebrìan, and the rest of his ridiculously confusing family, attempt to help.Series

Summary
He thought he was so much, Zuko thinks, his eyes never leaving the tapestry. He thought he would be remembered for something great.
“When Fire Lord Sozin started the war,” Zuko says, voice surprisingly firm, “he destroyed every piece of history that came before him. He rebuilt the Fire Nation under his image, and by doing that, he rebuilt what qualified as truth. He erased everything he considered weak, everything that could be interpreted as a wrongdoing or a failure. It didn’t fit with his narrative of our country. He thought that by destroying the shame of the past, he’d guarantee the glory of the future. And he was wrong.” Zuko takes a deep breath. “I don’t want to make the same mistake as him.”
Or, what it means to make history. Featuring Toph's enthusiasm for destroying property, Aang being allowed to have negative emotions, and Zuko figuring out life.

Bookmarker's Notes
oh my god. oh my god. i don’t usually write notes on my bookmarks but i read this whole series in basically one sitting, and it feels wrong not to acknowledge that; this series did justice to all the characters and all the worldbuilding and the language used fit the tone perfectly and i couldn’t stop reading. trauma and grief and rage and hurt, but hope and love and healing and. and. yeah.
