Summary
Mydei is stuck in a strange state of existence. While most believe him an alpha due to his outward appearance and reputation as a fierce warrior, he has no secondary gender and a limited sense of smell.
Usually, he wouldn’t care and even prefers not having to deal with heats and ruts, but lately, being around Phainon has him feeling off-center. There’s a weird prickling sensation in his nape that won’t go away, and his entire body heats up at even the slightest provocation.
Is he, somehow, growing allergic to Phainon? Is that what this is?
Alternatively, Mydei presents as an omega because of one very oblivious Deliverer and has to deal with the consequences.

“They welcome me like I haven’t spent the past week piercing holes through their beloved savior,” Mydei comments once he and Phainon manage to find some peace at the corner of a stairway.
“Careful- you’re still a little purple here,” Phainon replies with a tap to his own shoulder.
Mydei smirks and hopes, childishly, that the princess will at the very least allow him to borrow her knight. It’d be a shame to never spar again.
Or: The war is over, and Mydei is sent off to marry the Okheman princess... Or so he thinks.

Mydei nods again, a small, ashamed gesture, and Phainon gives him another kiss for his effort, on the cheek this time. It's such a different Mydei than the one he's used to. So vulnerable he looks smaller, so angry at being powerless he boils red and hot. So needy that Phainon will never be able to forget the feeling of his claws drawing demanding lines over his chest and arms.
“There you go,” he coaxes, massaging small circles into the inside of Mydei’s thighs, rubbing close to his dick without ever touching it. Mydei clings to him harder. “There you go.” He swallows hard. “Good kitty.”
