Summary
Shen Yuan of Proud Immortal Demon Way was supposed to be a child bride. That was the plan, apparently.
Step one: get sold off.
Step two: die quietly.

Zhou Zishu looked at Wen Kexing with slightly widened eyes, obviously surprised with what he had just heard, “Lao Wen, how did you..?”
“Why? If I did not find out, are you planning to not tell me at all? Just now, the chicken meat that I gave you, I asked you if it’s salty, and you said just nice. But A-Xu, I did not put any salt in it at all, all I have put into the meat was half a bottle of vinegar. And there is also the soup. It was supposed to be bitter, yet when I asked if you think it is sweet enough, you told me good enough.”
Zhou Zishu was shocked and enraged, “You lied to me?!”
“Yes, I did. I merely wanted to prove to myself that I am just imagining things, but who knows… and did you lose your sense of touch too? When Chengling accidentally poured the boiling soup onto your hand, you did not seem to even notice at all. A-Xu, the soup was so hot, there is no way that you could not feel it at all.”
