“Stop!” he cries, chuckling, and he reaches out to grab her wrists and pin them to her sides.
Lucy looks up at him, meeting his eyes, and they’re both breathing heavily. She’s smiling in a way that tears down all of his defenses, and he’s so fucking in love with her that his chest hurts and he can’t breathe.
“Lucy,” he says, and his voice is hoarse, needy and full of the affection he’s worked so hard to deny.
“Tim,” she gasps, and her eyes flicker to his lips, then back up to his eyes, and her pupils dilate as she pulls a stuttering breath in.
He should let her go. He knows he should let her go.
He has to let her go.
