Makoto allows herself to be bundled up on the couch, Ann plopping right beside her. She leans over, putting her head on Makoto’s shoulder. “The ocean, huh? Lotta weird stuff down there.”
“It’s soothing.” She reaches out, squeezing Ann’s hand. “You’re going to get sick.”
“Nuh-uh.” Ann blows a raspberry. “It’s my special kickass girlfriend powers.”
“If you say so,” Makoto replies wryly, sighing despite the smile creeping up, “But don’t complain to me when you get a cold.”

Akira viciously smothered the hope, because it was impossible. No matter how similar it looked to case notes and essays seen in brief, upside-down flashes across the counter before his attention was drawn away by gloved hands wrapping around a coffee mug and the glint of wine eyes.
His heart beat a staccato rhythm against his chest despite himself, uncaring of how devastating this would be if he was wrong.
He slid his finger beneath the envelope's lip, gently tearing it open. Inside was a small piece of paper. It held one sentence, scrawled in blue ink.

Akechi knows that he’s not supposed to be able to hear Morgana. Maintaining the illusion of ignorance is vital if he wants to gain Akira’s trust and guarantee his death. It’s just a shame that Morgana insists on testing his patience during every interaction. The amount of insults he’s had to endure with a straight face is ridiculous. Still, he tells himself that he just has to curb his indignation until November. Then his plan will culminate in the assassination of the Phantom Thieves’ leader. With Akira gone, Shido will win the election - and Akechi’s moment for revenge will arrive.
He’s so close to victory that he can taste it in the back of his throat. If the biggest obstacle to his success is a talking cat, then he’s gotten pretty lucky.
Unfortunately, he underestimates just how much of a roadblock Akira himself will turn out to be.

“Hey, take care, you’re tearing his hair off his scalp!”
Goro ran up to them and Akira sighed in relief when skilled, gloved fingers swiftly untangled his locks from the thorns, even if the look on Goro’s face was a familiar one and seemed to directly, wordlessly communicate a general feeling of “what the hell have you done now?”.
“Maybe he should’ve considered that before he hid in the bushes,” one of the security guards said.
When successful model Goro Akechi has to work on their five year anniversary and success-less photographer Akira Kurusu does yet again not get the gig, he has to get creative to spend time with his partner - because no one is supposed to know they’re dating, if Goro’s agent has it his way (and he does).
