“Merlin,” Arthur sighs. The man’s body is heavy; his skin pale. “Just hold me, please.” It could almost be disguised as long-suffering if Merlin ignored the rest. A quirk of the lips would be all that Merlin would need to know that it would all be OK. If he ignored the tiredness of his voice, the upcoming quiet, the slowing of that thready hum. Almost like a little bird fluttering against its cage. He tried not to think of the terrible warmth of blood on his fingers that would soon be a terrible cold.

Summary
Nanami had been in charge of making the tea. He's pretty sure he burned the leaves, judging by the grimace on Tsumiki's face. It was easily rectified; Satoru had seemingly anticipated trouble on the horizon and had prepared milk and sugar for the tea. Now, the drink was more of a glorified sugar concoction. Neither of the children seemed to be concerned with having a strange man join them at the dinner table these past few weeks.
OR
Gojo Satoru has this deep ache inside to give Nanami children and make him a father. It messes with his brain. It's all very psychological.

Summary
The fourth came with a photograph.
Undeniable evidence laying before him in black and white. Grainy but indisputable. Celeste sat at a café, knees crossed, smiling across the table at someone whose face was obscured by a blur of movement. Perhaps that was intentional. The man’s hand rested gently atop of her own, the fingers were long, stupidly elegant. There was something almost theatrical in the gesture, like the beginning of a magic trick, like he was putting on a show.
Daniel stared at that hand for a long time.

Daniel is sprawled out across the bed, loose-limbed and lazy, somehow filling all the open space it has to offer and leaving Armand to nestle into the gaps. His cheeks are flushed, blood pooling like it knows what comes next. Maybe it does. Armand was reading about classical conditioning the other day. About dogs who become accustomed to getting food when their handler rings a bell.
Perhaps Daniel is the dog, Armand’s teeth sharp bells reverberating in his veins. Or perhaps Armand is the dog, Daniel’s blood a song rattling in his ears. He has been a dog before. He runs his tongue along the bow of Daniel’s collarbone, gathers the salt-sweat there and imagines what it tastes like because Daniel does.
Armand remembers he loved Daniel, once, and that Daniel loved him. Or a version of them did, at least. It isn't his intention to go back to that, but it's not not his intention, either. Such is the prerogative of an immortal: to hold two contradicting desires simultaneously. If nothing else, it passes the time while he waits for this miserable interview to end.

“Is it so terrible if I want to ruin a little the luck of those cold-hearted bastards who reject without remorse the genuine feelings of other people?” One pair of stick limbs grab emotionally at their chest while the other pair holds onto Satoru’s right leg as if it were a pole, their body dramatically swaying in feigned despair. Satoru rolls his eyes. “Do they not deserve to suffer a bit for their carelessness? Call it karma or whatever.”
“Buddy, you pushed that executive onto the train rails.”
“Oh, he was an asshole,” the curse easily dismisses with their hand, “Had an affair with two different women and used to hit his children.”
Or, Gojo wins the mission lottery and gets cursed by one peculiar grade 1. It doesn’t matter how easily it tells him what the cure is when the search for it brings him more grievances than the curse itself.

"Wow. I’ve never been called a whore with numbers before." Geto blows his bangs off his face, which equals amusement. Gojo is fluent in his facial expressions.
"No, that makes you the perfect database of what men want!"
"So, you want me to write an essay about it? Give you tips?"
"Pfff, no. You’re taking me on a date. Many dates, actually, so I can map all variables."
Geto sighs. "I have only one condition: we are not having sex."
"Ugh, no. Never."
There are two things Gojo knows about himself:
1- He’s a genius: the strongest jujutsu sorcerer alive, the best sensei at Jujutsu High, and a PhD in Physics;
2- He’s a virgin.
Having never dated before, much less been in love, Gojo does what he does best: conducts in-depth scientific research. To maximize his success, he recruits his lifelong best friend and roommate, Geto.
