The village of Sunagature is no stranger to monsters. After all, the Kazekage himself once had one inside him. Though those days are long over; the one-tailed Shukaku who once terrorized the village is a dear friend and guardian now! There's peace in the sand village, and tranquility over the desert! There's no more reason for terror, no reason for the full moon to cause that once bitter shiver of dread to creep up one's spine in fear of the monster who watched, blood boiling, from the shadows.
No, everything is fine! All is well. And that ongoing mission you're investigating - the one with all those horrible and gruesome murders - that's just some rouge shinobi, some deranged, cannibalistic lunatic! Whoever it is will be brought to justice, you just need to get to the bottom of it.
Though you do have to admit, those teeth marks do look rather suspicious....And those claw marks....And that howling that the villagers keep reporting about... It might be worth getting a second opinion, and you would prefer to talk to Gaara about it, but something tells you that the Kazekage has been dealing with more important matters as of late.
After all, he doesn't seem to be acting quite like his usual self.
