Summary
Dating Kurusu Akira means that Akechi Goro finds himself in Sakura Futaba’s presence a lot. Her aversion to him is well-deserved, but that doesn’t stop him from feeling awful whenever the sight of him sucks the joy out of her. Akira seems to think of their romance as a long term thing, so perhaps it would be imperative for Goro to at least attempt civility, or even form a truce with her.

Akechi knows that he’s not supposed to be able to hear Morgana. Maintaining the illusion of ignorance is vital if he wants to gain Akira’s trust and guarantee his death. It’s just a shame that Morgana insists on testing his patience during every interaction. The amount of insults he’s had to endure with a straight face is ridiculous. Still, he tells himself that he just has to curb his indignation until November. Then his plan will culminate in the assassination of the Phantom Thieves’ leader. With Akira gone, Shido will win the election - and Akechi’s moment for revenge will arrive.
He’s so close to victory that he can taste it in the back of his throat. If the biggest obstacle to his success is a talking cat, then he’s gotten pretty lucky.
Unfortunately, he underestimates just how much of a roadblock Akira himself will turn out to be.

No Makoto or Yusuke or Ann or Ryuji or Morgana to tell him that he's making a mistake (again) and he'll regret this (eventually) and this won't end happily (or peacefully); no, it's just him and Akechi and a list of palaces to rip through in record time. What did they call it? Thick as thieves?

What was she even supposed to say to that? Being honest was out of the question, especially with him. She didn’t like him. She’d forgiven him, and she was friends with his friends and he was dating the one boy she’d ever let herself trust. He’d taken everything from her and she was better than him, or had to be, because that was all she had left.
