Atsushi found himself belonging perfectly between the clad walls of his enemy and/or lovers home. A long exhausting day led to a home he and Akutagawa both would return to. Akutagawa's apartment became just as much to Atsushi's schedule as being around the man himself became less of a necessity, to a yearning to a normalcy.

“I don’t need anyone, weretiger. Least of all …” He raised his head to bark at him some more and very clearly realized that he was way closer to Atsushi’s face than he thought, his eyes widening at the sight. “… you.”
His breath tickled Atsushi’s skin and the detective made another mental note how it didn’t really bother him at all. He smelled of liquor, but it wasn’t that off-putting.
“Yeah, okay. Want to sit down for a minute?”
[Set after saving the world from Amenogozen. Atsushi has trouble falling asleep; he goes out in the middle of the night to look for some snacks, and crashes into a drunk Akutagawa. They talk, they bond. Followed by tooth-rotting fluff (you’ve been warned).]
