Ilya bites the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing. He wants to, god does he want to, but he knows better than that. The last thing he wants is for Shane to feel truly embarrassed or, God forbid, ashamed at what Ilya’s stumbled upon.
“It’s just hockey cards, Shane. No big deal.” It’s a battle to keep his face neutral, to stop his playful, lazy grin from taking over his face, but he thinks he’s doing a good job of it.
Shane bites his lip and nervously shifts from foot to foot. “Did you look inside?”
“I may have peeked,” Ilya admits. “There are a lot of Pike cards. I did not know he was your favorite. I am concerned about your taste.”
