Lena’s glad it’s almost over, and that she gets to forcibly eject it from her life like a floppy disk carrying a PC-killing virus with her best friend’s help in a foreign country. “Do you want to kiss PJ?” Isabel asks abruptly then, and internally Hazel can only hear her own screaming. She swallows hard.
“Uh, I don’t know. I’ve never thought about it.” Hazel lies, right through her teeth. This is a nightmare. “I— Even if I did, I think we’ve established that I wouldn’t know what to do anyways so maybe we should just— drop it, maybe—”
“Do you want to know what to do?” Isabel asks then. Just like that. Like Hazel is supposed to know even a little of what that means.
“... What do you mean by that?” Hazel asks in confusion, turning a bit more in her seat to face Isabel.
She’s got two braids in the front of her hair again and they frame her face perfectly. Hazel finds herself distracted by that, at least until Isabel says, “Do you want to practice?”
“Practice what?” Hazel blurts out in sheer lack of understanding, giving Isabel a look of growing confusion that she seems to almost flush a bit under.
Isabel shrugs, “Kissing.”
