Summary
In 2016, the Montreal Voyageurs ceased to exist. The owner and GM vanished after embezzling $600 million into a crypto scheme, forcing the franchise into federal bankruptcy and immediate dissolution. Contracts were voided overnight. Shane hadn’t spoken to Ilya since the tuna melt incident. Now, with no team, Shane could end up anywhere, on opposite sides of the country, or in the same locker room as Ilya.

Summary
Despite all the huge strides in alpha/omega pride over the last few decades, despite the new legal protections and parades and pride matches, despite there even being athletes from other sports who had come out - there still isn't a single known alpha in the MLH. And obviously, it goes without saying that there are no omegas.
Shane Hollander has been masking as beta since he was fifteen. He's been a successful hockey star since he was seventeen. He's been fucking Ilya Rozanov since he was nineteen. Now he's twenty five and two months ago, after the All Stars game, he told Rozanov that he was alpha.

“Ilya?” There was some worry in the rookie’s voice. “We need to go to the hospital.”
Fear shot across Ilya’s face. “Haas, what happened? Your concussion is feeling worse?”
“Something’s wrong. I’m having hallucinations that you said Shane Hollander is your boyfriend and that we’re all having a sleepover.”
OR: When Ilya has an away game in Montreal, he often stays with Shane at his apartment instead of the team hotel. But when Centaurs rookie Luca Haas gets a concussion during the game and has to be monitored overnight, Ilya makes the call to bring Luca with him.
Takes place approximately two months after Part 1. It's Luca's first season as a Centaur and Shane's last season as a Voyageur. Shane and Ilya's relationship is still private.
