Hank woke up from a good night's sleep at 6 AM, surprising himself. Today was his and Connor's day off, the kid had been pretty excited to spend his free time with his brothers, which Hank was inclined to agree that it probably would do them good to have some kind of brotherly-bonding moment.
He pretends not to notice Nines standing there— ominously —looking out the window to the backyard. He goes on about his day, grabbing himself a nice cup of coffee, wondering where the hell his two other boys were—until he heard a muffled thud paired with a, "Fuck you!" coming from the backyard.

He had left a note on the countertop earlier saying he had a commission to do, and wouldn’t return until ten.

Summary
After his unfortunate encounter with a sea-dwelling predator, Markus finds himself stranded in the middle of the ocean with no food, no water, and a rather slim chance for life. His only company: two sea-dwelling predators. Meanwhile, his surviving partner North can't accept the loss of her love and is hell-bent on retribution as her only way of coping. This path leads her to encounter Elijah Kamski, a scientist with an unsettling fascination for the creature she witnessed on the night of Markus' disappearance.
This is the continuation to "A Tale from the Great Scales Canal", the first part in the series.

Summary
Markus is a young artist whose inspiration has been lacking. Upon hearing a sailor's tale about a sea monster in the tavern he usually hangs out in with his friends, he decides to depart for the Great Scales Canal in hopes of fuelling his creativity. His partner North quickly figures out his plans and decides to come along, intent on experiencing the thrill of a brand new kind of danger. Both of them should have heeded the warnings.

Summary
“Oh my God you’re fucking adorable.”
Connor rests in the shell of a cavalier King Charles spaniel. A puppy shell, making him incredibly dainty even compared to the diminutive size of an adult of the breed. He’s ruby, say for the barest patch of white that makes a thin river between his ribs, flowing up to his jaw. His fur is cut tight but glossy. His ears are long and floppy, and his tail is a long trail of floof.
Gavin’s one hundred percent correct.
He is adorable.
