“You need something to keep you awake,” Mu Qing shifts, turning on the seat to face Feng Xin, his knee brushing the gearshift. He schools his expression into a disinterested mask, but his hands have the faintest tremor as he reaches over the center console to unbutton Feng Xin's jeans. “Here’s something. Keep your eyes on the road.”
"Mu Qing, you cannot be fucking serious."
It wasn't like this was out of left field: they had an arrangement.
It's past midnight, and they're still an hour and a half from Chicago, going steady down I-94 from a venue called Banyue Pass. When Feng Xin needs something to keep him awake, Mu Qing chooses an activity he knows will shut his brain off, at least for a little while.
