Daniel had always cared. Daniel had always supported Max. But Daniel couldn’t really understand Max. Not at all.
As if sensing Max’s slight distress, he brought his left hand to his lips, trailing soft kisses on the back of Max’s palm, internally calming Max down.
“One day, a few years from now, living with a dreamy husband in a big villa near Jardin Exotique, you’ll look back and you’ll realise that this was just a part of your journey. Amazing freaky sex will be served to you daily, and you won’t even remember to think about him. Trust me.” Daniel let go of Max’s hand, repositioning his own to the nape of Max’s neck to caress the hair there soothingly.
That would be the ideal outcome.
With him. Because he already had a villa in Jardin Exotique. With his fiancée and silly stinky dog.
