It's in the midst of this internal debate, Kris hears the soul tapping rhythmically on the bars of it's cage.
Kris knows what that tapping means.

It’s painfully obvious to Nemuri that Izuku Midoriya is about as awkward and anxiety riddled as possible but she’s never backed down from a challenge before. And if this bone-breaking nervous wreck needs a little self-confidence, well then she’ll just have to build him up one brick at a time.
Sometimes just a little confidence can change the whole world.

Roxie wasn't always a pirate, and she certainly wasn't always a Straw Hat pirate. She wasn't exactly supposed to be here either, but Kaido wasn't supposed to be Shogun of Wano either, so who cares. She was going to change the world, even if it wasn't the one she knew or even the one she was originally born in. She might have to do it at a snail's pace, but a transponder snail Zoan's pace was better than nothing!
Or, an Isekai ends up in a world where the canon was shot out of a cannon into the middle of the ocean and left to drift for a while, but she's got a will to survive, a dream to fulfill, and a Zoan fruit in her gullet!

“While I find the commission’s choices regarding your license frustrating, the prospect of having you as a teacher here is quite thrilling!”
“So that means I’m hired…?”
Nezu chuckled, and a dangerous light came into his eyes, the type that signified when he got one of his ideas. “Not only that, but with your past experience as a villain, I’d finally get to implement a program I’ve been considering for some time now!”
Midoriya tilted his head. “Oh?”
OR
Rehabilitated villain Deku is blocked from pursuing his revived dream of being a hero, so he takes the next best option: being a teacher at UA. With a twist. Nezu decides it’s time UA had its own villain rehabilitation program.
