After his brother passed away in suspicious circumstances, Sirius swore he would never set foot in that place again, but after a bad breakup, with no job or personal savings, he had no choice but to go back to his parents' house.
Despite being empty and deteriorated by time, Regulus' room became a raft in the middle of the storm, and Sirius spent enough time there to realize strange things were happening: unexplained air currents, shadows he could barely distinguish before they vanish again, and chess pieces that seem to move of their own free will.
It was in that moment of his life, when everything felt like a mess and it seemed like he couldn't even trust his own mind anymore, when Sirius met Remus Lupin. Summary
“What the emotionally stunted royals are trying to say.” James interrupts. “Is that Sirius Black is the first born son of King Orion Black, heir to the great Slytherin throne of Grimmauld Palace. His reign lasted less than one day before the infamous ‘nah’ heard around the world. His younger brother, Regulus, helped fake his death and sent us on our horror-show of a scavenger hunt looking for horcruxes. Then, Regulus took over the Slytherin throne causing as much chaos within Voldemort’s ranks as possible.
“They’re now disagreeing on who will be the future King of Slytherin, but I’m not sure that’s a conversation worth having at the moment since neither of them will likely live to see tomorrow if we don’t get out of here soon. Sirius probably woke half the castle up with his yelling.”
A Fantasy/Royalty AU where: James leads the hunt for horcruxes and is terrible at keeping secrets. Remus escapes a fighting ring and teaches Sirius how to sword fight. And Sirius is secretly the “assassinated” King of Slytherin, but he just wants to be the centre of Moony’s attention all the time and if that makes him gay then so be it.

Summary

At least Remus got his phone back after losing it, but now he can't stop texting the mysterious number of the man who had sent it back. Padfoot is funny and charming, and Remus is NOT going to fall in love with him.
