Marinette punched in the digits 15 and hit the call button.
“Marinette?” Tikki’s voice sounded so tiny. “Marinette why is Plagg—”
Marinette made herself ignore Tikki and respond to the operator with a level voice. “There’s been an accident.” She made herself look at the street sign. She rattled off the street name calmly. “I don’t know what happened—” she couldn’t say Ladybug had fucked up her aim and yanked a person right off a roof, she couldn’t, secrecy was important for the kwami even if Marinette wasn’t going to be Ladybug again after this, not with what she’d done, “but there’s a boy lying injured in the street. His leg is bleeding heavily and he doesn’t seem to be conscious.”
“I’ll send an ambulance,” the person on the other end said after a short pause. “What else can you—”
Marinette ended the call. There wasn’t anything else she could tell them.
(Or, the one where everything does not go according to Wang Fu’s plan, Hawkmoth decides to use the Butterfly to its full potential after all, and Paris’ local superheroes are still a bit of a mess.)
