Summary
Izuku dreams of lives he did not live.
As he rushes towards the Slime Villain to save Kacchan, he is not Izuku. He is Gwynedd. Gwynedd, whose feet flowed through grass like water and could never leave well enough alone. Who had always been a hair more agile than Izuku could be and ducks and dives and taunts. When the near divine wind of All Might’s punch disperses the slime and sends him rolling, it is Gweynedd’s Welsh that spews from his lips unbidden.
It is Izuku who stands back up. Who brushes slime from his uniform. Who spots Kacchan being praised and heroes marching towards him.
It is still Gwynedd’s feet that run away.
