Seokjin had always thought that he would visit the palace as a distinguished guest. In his dreams, he imagined his arrival escorted by a line of servants, who would dress him in the finest silks.
He never expected the gold to be what would declare him guilty and throw him at the foot of the throne, where he fell with a loud thud and hurt himself by landing knee-first.
-"This man will serve in my palace," declared the mad king, Min Yoongi, tossing the pendant to a waiting attendant. "He has a taste for gold, does he not? Then let him be surrounded by it, but never possess a single piece of it."
Seokjin’s eyes widened. What kind of punishment was this?
–You will work for me, fisherman. As my attendant, my servant.– The king leaned in, voice a whisper only for him. –Let’s see if your spirit breaks under my watch.
And just like that, Seokjin’s fate was sealed, not by death, but by the golden chains of a king's amusement.

“There are other things to eat than the measly dishes you call food.” The demon spoke, pulling its legs up to rest on the pew, leaning his chin forward and tilting his head in amusement. “And please. You should know better than to have faith in fables, oh spiritual one.”
Namjoon raised a brow. “I will not feed you with my body. You will have to eat someone else. And fables are integral: they teach us lessons about compassion and honesty and not messing around with demons.”
The demon giggled--Namjoon wished he could have said that it was an uncomfortable sound, but it sounded very much like a squeakier rendition of a chime of bells, pleasant and intriguing to hear. “I never said that you would be eaten, holy one. What about eating me? I bet your fables don’t teach you anything about feeding demons.” One of those cold hands, reached over to him, crooked fingers tracing along his thigh.
