“Truth or dare, Remus?” Marlene’s voice broke through the alcohol induced haze in his brain. She snorted looking at him, clearly having repeated the question multiple times before gaining his attention. "Shit you're drunk, this should be interesting."
There was no way in his current state he was getting up right now to do some ridiculous dare. He answered, “Truth,” before noticing the mischievous look on Marlene's face.
She grinned, shoving a small potion bottle into his hand and instructing him to drink some. Obliging, he swallowed a large sip before handing it back.
His insides tingled as the Veritaserum took effect.
“Tell us some secret, dirty fantasies you've had about someone.”
Oh, he was so fucked.

He’s doing it again. Leaning against the wall of another one of Kingsley get-togethers. Wallflowering, as Sirius called it. Waiting for one of his friends to drag him into the fray of the party to participate in whatever game they had decided was the thing for the evening. He would always decline. Always shuffling off once again to his little corner of the room and watch as the others interactive. Always watching. He can’t help but watch.
“It’s a new moon tonight.”
“So you’ve said.”
He can’t help but watch as James falls into him. Perhaps he’s more than a little drunk, the blush crawling across his freckled cheeks.
“It’s a new moon tonight.” He repeats, rising on his toes and pressing his lips against Remus’s.
And it’s just perfect.
