Summary
A second, then a blur. Ilya knocking over one of the kitchen island stools to engulf Shane. His shaking frame holding Shane so tight, Shane felt himself shaking back. He could only hold on back, just as tightly.
“Please.” Came the strangled voice by his left ear. “Please, tell me.”
And who was Shane to ever deny a wish of Ilya Rozanov.
“I’m signing to Ottawa. Tomorrow. If you would want to come with.”
And then Ilya was shoving him back, holding him close to his face. “Of course. I drive. Of course I come.”
Or
Shane, fed up with Montreal, signs to Ottawa before their relationship is revealed. While he doesn't plan on keeping that a secret for long, he asks Ilya to let him get to know the team first, before they come out. To maybe have a normal season. Meanwhile, the rest of the Centaurs are going crazy trying to figure out what is going on between their captain and Shane Hollander and why they keep showing up in the same car??Series

Summary
Refusing to let Ilya ruin his career by signing with Ottawa, Shane chooses to really give their relationship a try and moves to Boston to live with Ilya and become a Raider. What follows is enough public scrutiny and backlash from his team that it has him questioning if he made the right decision. Until moments with Ilya and the Raiders show him exactly why he chose correctly.

Hayden’s eyes flickered to Shane as he sat on the bench, chewing on the edge of his mouth guard.
“Don’t fucking look at him,” Ilya insisted as he bent down for the faceoff.
“Excuse me?” Hayden mumbled, eyes darting back to him.
“You heard me,” he retorted, his tone clipped. “He’s not your teammate anymore; he’s mine. If you think Marlow is a problem to your game, wait until you see what I will do to your team if you hurt anyone on mine again.”
Hayden scoffed, dipping his head as he tried to focus on the game. Something about Ilya’s words still rang through his head though, sounding so definitive that he didn’t want to risk seeing what he was actually referring to when he said that.
The puck dropped again, and Ilya stole it before he could comprehend how quickly it happened.

If this is what Hollander is willing to give him, he will take it. It won’t be enough, not by a long shot, but if this is the little part of him he is allowed to have, by God he will take it.
OR, Shane messages Ilya a few days after the tuna melt scene. Ilya is trying to not scare him away again. He will restrain himself. He will take what Shane gives him and never ask for more. Just please, he can’t see him walk out of his life again.

"Okay, so let's say that what you're saying is correct, and he is in fact making heart-eyes at Hollander. That doesn't immediately explain moving to Ottawa for him, does it?" Troy asked, looking genuinely interested in Wyatt's theory.
"We know Ilya, don't we? When that guy likes something then he is absolutely gone for it; look at how he treats Chiron. Just imagine. He develops a crush on Shane Hollander and then decides to do anything possible to get together with him. Even if it means moving across countries and joining a shit team.
"You know… I'd be willing to see it." Bood relented. "He did start a charity with him."
Or, the Centaurs figure out how down bad Ilya is for Shane, not realizing the feeling is mutual, and decide to try and bring them together with ridiculous plans.
