This is the end.
It's no surprise to him that his time is up. He made his choices and he will die with them. Maybe if he did it differently... No. Those thoughts are meaningless. Every decision he's made since the fall of Yunmeng Jiang, he's stubbornly faced the consequences good or bad. Any attempts of fantasizing a different outcome could've ruined his home, his people.
