If Sheriff Stilinski didn't ensure that the CHCP went through some serious reform or even shut down outright, I'd be surprised. Derek and Stiles are adorable and kudos to the CHCP for their matchmaking skills, but I had borderline flashbacks of horribly patronizing medical care because of the way the center treated them both, especially Stiles who wasn't exactly in his right mind because of his goddamned heat. Kudos to the caliber of "wtf?!" writing.

Summary
An unfortunate incident at a petting zoo leaves Stiles unable to keep his child safe from the hunters that have been looking for them for months. Desperate, he returns to the one place he swore never to step foot in again -- Beacon Hills. But just because Derek has managed to turn himself into a decent Alpha while he's been gone doesn't mean Stiles is willing to forgive him for everything that happened six years before.
Besides. Wererabbits, as far as he can tell, don't need Alphas anyway.

Stiles as a wererabbit, after being pushed out of the pack by Derek. My favorite part of this story is Stiles pointing out to Derek that he didn't "give Stiles up out of love in order to save him," but rather he pushed Stiles away out of fear in order to save himself. Heartbreaking, and fantastic.

He was young and naive then. He believed all fairy tales had happily ever afters, that wraiths and ghouls could be thwarted with a pure heart. He believed in a world where fathers loved their children unconditionally, through sickness, plight, and grief.
Perhaps if his mother had still been alive none of this would have happened.
