With how much people talk about the Sannin — especially in the war camps, like they think the gossip is somehow going to keep them safer from an enemy's blade, like the gossip is going to summon the strength of the Sannin to them specifically — Kakashi is surprised to discover that no one has mentioned Tsunade picking up an apprentice. Everyone knows that Minato had been Jiraiya's apprentice, but as far as Kakashi knew, neither Orochimaru nor Tsunade had ever taken one.
Until now.
And what an apprentice.
Standing in the medic tent, she's clean and pretty and smells good — and has a spine of absolute fucking steel.
