This is my HGT Body Sharing fic series! It lives in my mind rent free 24/7 and I adore it. I am horrible at updating consistently but I am trying my best. Snippets and oneshots are easier for me than a linear story because I have no object permanence. The only time I get anything done is on pain meds so we'll see how these turn out. A Genshin series starring Traveler!Aether. Instead of searching for his sister, Aether (with Paimon as well) decides to wait for her to come to him. As Lumine continues to wage war against Celestia and the gods who refuse to back down and let her (more on that later), Aether is becoming the local cryptid of Mondstadt. The main work is "From the Audience to the Stage". There will be side works that are deeper, mostly connected but sometimes not quite. All of them follow a similar idea of the twins not really caring about Teyvat; to them, it is simply a game, and nothing more.

His eyelights were glassy, unfocused pinpricks of light floating within cavernous sockets. Fever radiated from him in waves, his bones glinting with the faint sheen of rising heat. Each shallow breath shuddered through his frame, erratic and unsteady, as though even the act of existing had become a battle.
The signs were unmistakable. Fevered. Overcome to the point of delirium. Every shiver, every labored breath, spoke of a body caught in the throes of a Heat so consuming that control had become a distant, unreachable goal.
For most monsters, this would have been ordinary—expected, even. An inconvenience of biology that, while inconvenient, was hardly unusual.
But this was Cross.
And therein lay the anomaly that hung in the air, thick and accusatory, like a question that demanded an answer.
"How curious," Nightmare murmured, his voice slipping into the room like a serpent through grass, low and smooth, almost inviting. His gaze never wavered, sharp and calculating as it swept over the trembling figure before him. "And here I thought you didn’t suffer Heats."

Summary
Jacob’s been the best employee Mira HQ has had in decades. With this in mind, it’s not a shock when he’s sent on a voyage with special instructions from HQ to protect an asset for the entire flight.
Space is dangerous. That much has been evident for longer than they’ve been alive. Beyond just gravity, the lack of oxygen, pressure, faulty supplies, and the normal issues that plague voyages, a newer issue has erupted.
Captains come back haggard, telling stories of creatures that looked just like their crew, but with something off. Creatures with teeth along their spine, with eerie voices that promised the doom of the entire ship. Some captains claimed these things were humans, warped by the madness that comes from staring too deep into space. Others claimed they were nothing of the sort, beastly parasites that fed off of crews.
Jacob doesn’t know what to believe, if he’s going to be honest. But a paycheck is a paycheck, and there’s no use in turning down easy money. It’s on the dock, ready to board for liftoff, when he receives a ping. He lifts his wrist, and the message is quick and concise.
