In the last week, Francis Rawdon Moira Crozier has:
1. Walked in on his best friend slash neighbor slash coworker (that he is not in love with) shagging a stranger.
2. Mediated an in-office argument involving the weaponization of a jelly donut.
3. Attended a pretentious Lower East Side art show by a certain C. Hickey, who seems very passionate about depicting rats but lacks the skill to actually draw one.
4. Fielded multiple text messages from his ex-wife about walking in on his aforementioned best friend (that he is NOT in love with) suggesting he, “Just tell him how you really feel!”And then, his boss meets his end via an ill-timed icicle that falls from a Hudson Yards skyscraper.
And that's when shit really goes sideways.

Thomas’ eyes blink open, then fall on Vincent.
“Vincent,” he murmurs blearily, voice hoarse. Then, he seems to register he's in his own apartment, outside of the Vatican. He rockets onto his elbows. “Vincent! What—”
Vincent holds up the apartment key. “I let myself in. I hope you don't mind.”
“Of course not! But—how did you get here?”
“I walked.”
“Through Rome?”
“Well, I didn't walk through Venice.”

Thomas and Vincent test the limits of their self-control. (It’s rapidly dwindling, given they have the keys to each other’s apartments.)
