Only to receive a shrug or a shy smile followed by a tiny, “nothing.” And followed by an even tinier meow.
This is why, this situation was beyond ironic because here he was, soaked to the bone, with his jacket haphazardly thrown over his chest to cover the shaking little creatures he had found in an alley.
