"Have you ever thought of augmenting these rings?" he asks, his voice quiet.
Aymeric is about to ask what he means when he sees Estinien reach up to pull the ring on his necklace out from beneath his shirt. Somehow, he hadn’t expected Estinien would still be wearing the ring, even though he knows Estinien would never do anything he didn’t want to do. When he had accepted Aymeric’s offer of the ring, he had done so because he had wanted to. Aymeric forgets— Estinien is not as complicated as he makes him out to be sometimes in his own mind.
“I’ve heard tell that there is a way to make rings connected so you can teleport to the person with the other ring." Estinien averts his gaze, but Aymeric can feel his cheek warming beneath his palm. "Just thought it'd be useful. You're not always near an aetheryte and besides, it saves me some gil when I want to come visit."
