Silena is the editor-in-chief of the university newspaper. She's supposed to have it all figured out: the perfect boyfriend, the curated friend group, the easy smile that keeps people from asking too many questions. Everyone expects her to marry her boyfriend, Charles Beckenforf, immediately after college. No one knows she broke up with him two weeks ago.
When Clarisse and Silena get paired up for an assignment, they start to realize they were very very wrong about each other.

When Clarisse attends Coach Hedge's wedding out in California, one thing leads to another and she accidentally saves New Rome from a monster attack. The praetors insist on honoring her with golden laurels and a fancy ceremony, even though Clarisse tries to get out of it.
She's shoved into a toga, forced to reckon with her jealousy of the Roman camp, and revisited by old friends and flames from Camp Half-Blood. When Silena shows up to support her old friend, the girls discuss what happened between them so many years ago. And maybe, just maybe, they rekindle an old flame.

Enter Alicent Hightower, the prissy younger sister of her bandmate, Gwayne, who shares a class with her. She's far too mean, reminds Rhaenyra of every girl that would have bullied her in high school, has a douchey boyfriend, and listens to terrible pop music and nothing else. Couldn't be more opposite of Rhaenyra if she tried. As she got closer to the room, she could see the door was slightly ajar. And through the vision panel, she noticed there was a girl. But she couldn’t really recognize who it was as her back was facing the door, sitting a few feet from it.
Without giving it much thought, Natalie opened it and got into the room. Only to be met with the most angelical voice she has ever heard in her life. And that’s a lot given she has a vast musical history.
The girl, had a slim and delicate body, yet you could say it was well-worked from what she perceived from behind.
She was using a long sleeved purple sweater, and her curls were falling behind her back, face down to the guitar. She was sitting on a chair, whispering tenderly to the chorus of a song from The Cranberries Natalie Scatorccio instantly recognized as “Linger”.
