Alice leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. “And that made your entire week, didn’t it?”
Rio tried to brush it off, stirring sugar into her coffee. “She’s just — she has this presence, you know? The way she talks, the way she challenges you. It’s like she’s… magnetic.”
“Uh-huh.” Alice’s smirk deepened. “Magnetic. Sure. That’s the word we’re going with?”
“Oh, stop it,” Rio groaned, her cheeks heating.
