Summary
Euijoo’s hushed prayers echo in his ears as he stares ahead at the screens where they display Effie digging into the bowl of names. Nicholas can't think about anything except for a plea to anyone, anything for it to not be Harua. His eyes plant themselves on the rows far ahead of him and Euijoo, practically glaring into the back of Harua's head. His eyes stay stuck onto Harua's chocolate brown strands even when he hears the crinkling of paper over the microphone.
His heart slows as he listens to her clear her throat into the microphone, hoping that one of Euijoo's many prayers work. He exhales a shaky breath as she opens her mouth to speak.
“Wang Yixiang!”

Before work every day, Euijoo finds himself at Two Moons.
Every day, Euijoo walks in and Nicholas squints at him exaggeratedly, looking him up and down, before guessing what he wants to order. And Euijoo says yes every time, just for the pleased smile that Nicholas gives him in return. Just for the easy, confident way that Nicholas makes it, no matter what it is, and for the way that he hums to himself while he does it, and how their fingers brush as he hands it to him.
"Careful," Nicholas murmurs, looking up at Euijoo through dark lashes. "This one's hot."

“Would you like to sign up for the rewards program?” Euijoo asks.
The guy drums his pink nails against the counter like he’s bored. “Hm, no thanks." He then stops tapping them, staring at Euijoo. “Wait. Do you get like… rewarded as an employee for that? The more sign-ups you have?”
Euijoo tilts his head, confused. “Yeah, but—“
“Okay, I can sign up,” he cuts Euijoo off. “Do you need my email? Phone number?”
Euijoo swallows. “Um, both would work.”

Euijoo is the cute bookstore employee to blame for Nicholas's recent expensive habit of buying books. Luckily, his job at Thread Theory in the same shopping mall pays enough to fund his stupid decisions.
