Remus Lupin was not impulsive. He did not crave the heady adrenaline rush that his friends seemed to, he did not enjoy tiptoeing the edge of what is allowed and not allowed, he was thoughtful, logical. Remus Lupin liked routine, planning, having the same exact toast for breakfast every morning. Without his careful planning, most of the marauders’ pranks would have failed immediately, and he prided himself on that. He liked reading the same books and listening to the same albums ten times over and predictable plotlines and detective stories he could solve alongside the narrator. Remus was not impulsive, his thoughts did not run at the inhuman speed that his friends did.
