    Alex looked him up and down. “But you didn’t say no. Come on.”

    “I was actually just about to—”

    “Five minutes,” she said, grabbing his arm like she knew him. “You’d be saving us from a cast-wide nervous breakdown.”

    “I don’t think—”

    She was already herding him toward the stage.
