Summary
Will’s a very scared kid. I mean it’s not his fault that his father kidnapped him all those years ago. He’s only in 7th grade. So he’s got all the time in the world to grow up! Except when his brother Jonathan’s friend, Nancy, convinces him to become a camp counselor and teach photography classes, that somehow pulls him into the entire thing. And the one thing Will didn’t want to do this summer is socialize, and especially not with other kids his age.
Mike’s a very social kid. Well, he would be if anybody would listen to him! Or even want to talk to him in the first place. Mike has weird interests. It’s not his fault kids think that DND is weird. Which it’s totally not! He really didn’t plan to make more friends this summer, but Nancy just had to drag him to this ‘Summer Camp’ thingy. Whatever, maybe Mike can make friends here.
His bunk mate looks like a good place to start. But he won’t talk. Only answers ‘Yes‘ or ‘No’ questions with a shake or nod of the head.
Anyways, it doesn't matter. Nothing can stop Mike from becoming Will Byers new best friend.

Summary
Mike has finally made it as an author. But writing about your own past can get complicated, especially when fans start to draw conclusions that point Mike in the direction of the person he's been writing about all along.
And living life is hard. Especially when you're doing it all on your own. But grief and love are a lot more similar than you might realise. They both tend to wake us up from the monotony of our lives.

Summary
For the past two years, Micheal Wheeler hasn't usually let himself feel things.
Obviously, he has feelings. He loves his friends, he likes El, he appreciates his family. But he’s been hiding that feeling for so long that he almost forgot it existed.

Continues immediately after the events of season 5 episode 7. Basically the finale, but written by someone who actually cares about queer representation. Mike did NOT deserve that absolute assassination and I WILL be doing him right.
In other words, a fix-it fic based on my last byler theory on my YouTube channel (@i.dontknowhowtodance, the period is IMPORTANT), in which we get a Mike-central finale where byler is canon. I do want to clarify I only watched the finale once and I refuse to watch it again so I might get some plot points wrong but you guys don't care anyway because no one likes the finale.
