Summary
Jim Hopper returns to Hawkins after his imprisonment in Kamchatka. Home isn't the way he remembers it and something is missing. Someone he thought would always belong in the cold mountainscapes of Russia.
This is where Jim told himself he ought to leave Dmitri Antonov but something inside him will not let the other man go, despite forcing himself into a sense of normalcy. It all comes crushing down when Dmitri comes knocking on his door.

“How much for your camera?” he cuts in, waving the words away between them.

"Not to buy it outright," Jim amends at the panicked and protective look that crosses Jonathan's face, and Jim knows how many hours both Joyce and her son have put into being able to get this camera, and he would never do that to them, even if he knows everyone is pitching in for a newer model this year. But he needs it, and Jim doesn't have time for more chit chat "To rent it. A few days at most, I need it for, uh, creative purposes."
Jonsthan stays silent, mouth agape as Jim readjusts his jacket in a rare show of anxiety, but look, he does need it, he has plans, ideas, things to concretise.
