In his first game in Boston, he noticed a man sitting in the stands at glass-level, right beside the visiting team’s bench. Dusty blond curls, a cocky smirk, and a wink that made something flip in his stomach.
“You are one of the kids I coach, yes?" the man called out. "The peewee team is down the street, this is the big league.”
Shane shot the man a glare and skated to centre ice for the face off. He wouldn't let some Raiders fan distract him.

Summary
Shane knew that his parents wanted him to settle down. He was only in his mid-twenties, but compared to many of his teammates, he might as well have been on the verge of dying alone. Now that he was injured and staying with his parents, Yuna’s attempts at matchmaking had picked up again, this time in full force.
Except Shane was in a very secret relationship with Ilya Rozanov. It was a wrench in the works of Yuna’s matchmaking operation that made things a lot more complicated.

They’re in bed, spooning in the afterglow but still connected. Ilya’s face is red, his eyes half-lidded. He looks almost drunk, feral and raw. Shane feels like he’s melted into the bed and never wants to leave it. Like he could lie here, claimed and had, for the rest of his life.

Ilya realized that he had two choices, and neither of them was very good. He could let his teammates believe he was a controlling asshole of a husband, or he could talk to them about things that Shane would probably prefer to keep to himself. He knew how private his husband was, how much time he’d spent cultivating a very particular image of himself to the world.
