Summary
Late one night, Caitlyn and Vi both end up in the library cramming for exams. When Caitlyn's best friend, Jayce, doesn't answer his phone to be Caitlyn's escort across campus in the dark, Vi offers to walk Caitlyn to her car.
An insane idea to destress together during a spontaneous and very practical one-night-stand turns into many more nights, studying and de-stressing as tutors-with-benefits.
Between Caitlyn's insane Pre-Law class schedule and Vi's commitments to her Engineering degree and her captaincy of the rugby team - and their historic Runeterra University Rugby Championship (RURC) run - Caitlyn and Vi discover that they have a lot more in common than being stressed out of their minds and insanely attracted to each other.
Over the course of the school year, they fall in deeper and deeper, finding out in real time that, sometimes, true love can come from anywhere - even as unlikely a place as the Pilt U library at one o'clock in the morning.

Jinx: (Off camera) What made you accept this position?
Vi: (Begins swinging her arms) Well, they needed a climber—so, (she points to herself with her thumbs) That’s me.
Jinx glances up from the screen. She eyes her sister before smirking, “Tell me the truth, why’d you accept this position?”
Vi relaxes, thinking Jinx stopped filming, “Caitlyn’s super hot.”

Summary
Anyone would have told Caitlyn to stop this exchange right here, that it was a breach of decorum to have this bold and crass American address her in such a way. And yet, Caitlyn found herself suppressing a smile, drawn into this strange late-night conversation as if it were perfectly normal, as if she regularly had tea with women who carried themselves without a care in the world.
The realisation struck suddenly, accompanied by a chill of social vertigo. To Vi, it seemed that Caitlyn was just… a person. An everyday person. The novelty of it was intoxicating and terrifying in equal measure.

She stands just behind Coach now, like she’d been waiting to make her entrance. Her face is the same cool and collected set of perfect angles and smooth skin Vi’s always known it to be. She wears a small smile and the uniform jacket carrying Piltover’s sigil at the heart, hair tied pack in a pony tail– one Vi knows how it feels to tug in the palm of her hand, the teasing gesture always met with a fond eye roll.
Blue eyes that used to ground her now shake the very earth beneath her.
“Y-you don’t mean that.”
